Christmas in July

"Christmas in July...there's no reason why...we can't have a Christmas tree so high...oh yeah."
Per some random childhood memory of a musical I performed in grade school.

Hard to see, but there are brownies with Christmas sprinkles, red and green Christmas cookies, guacamole, and green starlight mints.

Trevor an Amolia made this fabulous "gingerbread" village.  All edible and made of graham crackers.

What was left at the end..I actually ate another tree, so there was less at the real end.

 

Super fun night, and this will definitely be in the rotation for future summers.

BTW- movie was Alvin and the Chipmunks.  Can't wait until they are older because Elf would make a great Christmas in July movie night.

No sushi here

We are trying to eat more fish in the house, well, my DH and I are.  He bought some Tuna, probably hoping I would make sushi, but I did NOT.

Mostly raw, but at least seared on the outside.  It was quite tasty if I do say so myself...and I do. :)

Herb crusted with fresh Thyme, lime zest, salt and pepper.
